About the IBM ThinkPad 235 Series
Originally released for the Japanese market, the ThinkPad 235 — known by codenames Chandra2 and Clavius — featured a 233 MHz Intel Pentium MMX CPU, support for up to 160MB EDO RAM, three PCMCIA slots, and a 2.5" UDMA hard drive. It had no internal optical drive, but came with an external floppy. Its lightweight design (1.3 kg) and dual camcorder battery configuration made it a unique ultraportable in the IBM range.
